Bernice Ramsey, 66, a resident of Benton, TN passed away on Wednesday evening, September 17, 2024, at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN. She was born on September 15, 1958, in Chattanooga, TN a daughter of the late Johnny Hendricks and Louis Neeley Gray. She enjoyed spending time in God's creation, but most of all spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by two sisters Cindy Gray and Barbara Lovren and one brother James Wallace Ramsey.
Bernice leaves behind to cherish her memory her companion Franklin Shell, daughter, Courtney Murphey, two sons Colton Gray and Cory Gray (Kelly), six grandchildren Calie Murphy, Graysun Hicks, McKenna Gray, Knoxlynn Gray, Jaci Gray and Jada Gray, siblings Eva Jones (Ricky), Kathy Wilhoite, Tommy Ramsey, Adam Gray and Joan Murphy, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday, September 23, 2024, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM in the original chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2414 Georgetown Road in Cleveland, TN.
A service celebrating her life is planned for Monday at 3:00 PM following the visitation time at the funeral home chapel with the Reverend Carl Haulk officiating.
The interment and committal service will follow in the New McDonald Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
