Mrs. Bernice Glasper "Ava" Webb

Bernice Webb Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Miles J. Kimble Mortuary & Cremation on Jan. 8, 2026.
Mrs. Bernice Webb, affectionately and widely known throughout the Forrest City community as Ava Glasper, was born on April 17, 1953, and peacefully transitioned from this life on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at the age of 72.

Bernice was raised and educated in Forrest City, Arkansas, where she became a familiar and respected presence in the community. She was widely known as Ava Glasper, a name that reflected the life and legacy she built. She was married to Cleo Webb, and together they shared many loving years before his passing.

A woman of strong faith, Bernice believed deeply in God and ensured that Christ was always present in her life and conversations, whether brief or long. Her faith guided how she lived, loved, and taught others. Alongside her faith, she strongly emphasized education and family, values she instilled daily in those around her. She accepted Christ at an early age at Salem Missionary Baptist Church, where she raised her son. She later united with Church of God under the leadership of Brother Timothy Forrest, and later joined Solid Rock under the leadership of Pastor Cleo Kirkwood.

After graduating from high school, Bernice pursued a career in healthcare, becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). She devoted many years to caring for others through private duty and home health care, serving families with compassion, dignity, and dedication. In addition to her healthcare service, she also spent 20 years teaching at Head Start, where she nurtured, guided, and positively impacted countless children.

Bernice had a special love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her home was always a place of warmth, laughter, wisdom, and acceptance. Many lives were touched by her steady guidance, nurturing spirit, and unwavering principles.

She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Robert "Boochie" Glasper, Sr., of Forrest City, Arkansas; five grandchildren: Casey Cross of Little Rock, Arkansas; Deonmonique Glasper (Robert) Rogers of Springdale, Arkansas; Julia (Kellon) Bowman of Fayetteville, Arkansas; Robert "RJ" Glasper, Jr., of Israel; and Landon Glasper of Serbia; nine great-grandchildren; one she loved as a daughter, Tomeka Johnson of Macon, Georgia; her siblings: Troy Glasper of Wynne, Arkansas; Linda Glasper of the United States; Fern Greer, Evelyn Berry (Michael), Cheryl Leggs, Daryl Leggs, and Arthur Leggs, all of Kansas City, Missouri; Girthella Beasley of Omaha, Nebraska; and brothers Roosevelt "Bug" Leggs, Jr., of St. Paul, Minnesota, and Mac Authur Glasper; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleo Webb; her parents; and one sister, Georgia Scott.

Bernice Webb lived by the values she taught:

God. Family. Education.

Every day.

Her legacy will continue to live on through the lives she shaped, the love she gave, and the faith she shared.

I have known Bernice for many years here while she lived in Fayetteville. She was such a loving person who I cherished with all my heart. I met some of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She has a beautiful family. Bernice, I miss you tremendously but one day will see you again in heaven.

Ramona (your next door friend) Love you and miss you!
