Bert R Wilson, 78, of Valley Center, KS passed away at home on Saturday, July 6, 2024. Bert was born Sunday May 19, 1946, to Harold R & Ellen I Wilson in Jefferson Township, OK. He spent his younger years in Oklahoma before moving to Kansas. He was the oldest of eight siblings and a father of three girls. In May of 1964, graduated from North High School and joined the Army National Guard. Became a father in April of 1969 to Sandy Schrader. Bert drove a Semi truck for over 50 years driving coast to coast seeing our great nation. He loved to be on the road, if he wasn't in his Semi he was on his Harley Davidson. He loved to be outdoors, whether being at the lake or working in the yard. He was a dreamer, always thinking of ways to fix something or working in the garage.
He is survived by two daughters, Sandy Schrader (Jeff) of Wichita, April Wilson-Snow (Marc) of Wichita. Stepdaughters Heather Marques of Wichita, Tekerri Loree (Brandon) of Sauk Rapids, MN, Samantha Crowley of Wichita; two brothers, Robert Wilson (Candice) of Spokane, WA, Olin Hicks of Orlando, Florida; two sisters Janet Endless(Darrell) of Sperry, Ok, Linda Beeman of Emporia, KS, thirteen grandchildren CJ Schrader, Destry Wilson, Isabella Snow, Gabriel Marquez, Sergio Marquez, Ramón Marquez, Tristan Mathew Sarafin, Spencer Hilliard, Liam Loree, MaKenna Loree, Abilene Wilson, Gracelynn Clymer, Aurora Wilson; six great grandchildren, Colin Schrader, Jackson Wilson, Kane Schrader, Lily Schrader, Damian Marquez, Scarlette Marque, and many others he called his kids. Bert was preceded in death by both parents, brothers Ronald Wilson & Willard (Corkie) Wilson, sister Elizabeth Hodo, daughter Stacie Wilson, wife Sharon K Wilson, grandson Patrick Schrader.
A memorial service will be held August 2, 2024 at Old Mission Mortuary at 10:30 AM.
