Bertha (Berte) M. Buss, 93, of Allentown, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 14, 2025 while in the care of Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Allentown
Berte was the devoted wife of the late Gerald A. Buss, celebrating 73 years of marriage before his passing in 2023. Born February 25, 1932, outside of Pittsburgh in Wall, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Bertha (Kost) Pavlochik.
Berte will be remembered as a vibrant spirit, sharing her creativity and whimsy with those she loved. Her green thumb, and love of music, color and sparkle were always evident in her creative pursuits. Her heart was always humming a tune, ready to be shared with anyone nearby. Her garden, kitchen and sewing room were playgrounds of imaginative projects and gifts to be shared with others.
Bertha is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Diane McMullen & her husband Donald of Slatington, son, Allen Buss and wife Joslyn, of Allentown, 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her siblings Helen, John, and Dolores.
Services: A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday October 14, 2025, at Grandview Cemetery, Chapel of Eternity, 2735 Walbert Avenue Allentown, PA 18104. Bertha's arrangements have been entrusted to the Cantelmi Funeral Home, Fountain Hill. A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.
