Bertha J. Thomas, age 87, of Carmichaels, Pa., died at 1:20 P. M. on Wednesday, February 5, 2003 at Rolling Meadows Nursing Home, Waynesburg, Pa. She was born June 14, 1915 in Sturgeon, Pa., a daughter of the late John and Josephine T. Deleuze Dellenbaugh. Mrs. Thomas was a Protestant and an honorary member of the Ladies Auxilliary of V. F. W. Post 3491 of Carmichaels. Her husband, Nelson W. Thomas, whom she married in 1972, died February 15, 2000.

Also surviving are two sons, John N. Thomas of Carmichaels and James B. Thomas of New Brighton, Pa.; two grandchildren, Keith and Nelson Pray; two great grandchildren; a brother, Maurice J. Dellenbaugh of Eldersville, Pa.; three sisters, Norma E. Paul, Leona May and Anna May Delich, all of Eldersville and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Minnie J. Pray.

Friends will be received at the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Martin J. Yoskovich, Funeral Director, 300 South Vine Street (Route 88), Carmichaels, Pa. from 4 to 8 P. M. on Thursday, where funeral services will be held at 1:00 P. M. on Friday, February 7, 2003. The Rev. Harold O. Kelley will officiate.
