Mrs. Bertie Mae (Autry) Daniels, 97 of Autryville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at Mary Gran Nursing Center in Clinton surrounded by her family.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at Mt. Carmel Church of God of Prophecy with the Reverend Bryan Strickland officiating. The burial will follow at Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 2:50 PM on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at the church prior to the service.

Mrs. Daniels was a native of Sampson County, the daughter of Ballard B. and Pearl (Autry) Autry. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willie Daniels; her son, Larry Daniels; three brothers, Grover Autry, Earl Clayton Autry and Wiley B. Autry; six sisters, Ruth Eris Tyndall, Romelia Stanley, Elizabeth Sessoms, Janie Sova, Pachie Johnson and Honesta Faircloth.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter-in-law, Ruby Doris Daniels of Autryville; the grandchildren, Kelly Daniels and wife, Leah of Osceola, Iowa; Marcus Daniels and wife, Jeanna of Roseboro; and Amy Ammons and husband, Michael of Autryville; eight great grandchildren; her great-great grandchild; and her sister, Gladys M. “Kitty” Klug of North Dakota.
