Bessie Brown Obituary Bessie Lee Brown, 95, of Muse, passed away peacefully, Friday, November 22, 2024, in her home.
She was born May 19, 1929, in Alabama, a daughter of the late Samuel and Sibbie Amorine Terrell.
Mrs. Brown was a graduate of Cecil High School and had worked as a supervisor at the former RCA in Meadow Lands until its closure.
Bessie was a missionary for the Church of God in Christ and a member of the local Refuge Church of God in Christ in Canonsburg.
She was a coin collector, enjoyed traveling every year to church conventions with her best friend and traveling in her RV trying to reach every amusement park in the US.
On September 28, 1957, she married James Robert Brown Jr., who died June 16, 2017.
Surviving are a son, Eugene Sanders (Angela) of Muse; five grandchildren, Nick Riger (Megan), Laurie Bottles (Melanie) and Rhonda Cox all of Pittsburgh, Eugene Hall (Stephanie) of Canonsburg and Bessie Chaudry (Atif) of Forest Hills: seven great grandchildren, Santino, Rocco and Nico Zullo-Hall, Faith and Gabrielle Hall, Rosalie Lockhart and Elijah Socie.
Deceased in addition to her parents and husband are a son, Keith Brown; grandson, Mark Hall; three brothers, Samuel Jr., Clifford and Moses Terrell; and a sister, Rosalee Terrell.
Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 Friday, in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 30, 2024. Interment will be private in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
