Bessie Hazel Perry, age 75 years, of Parkers Lake, Kentucky died Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at her home.
She was born in Honeybee, Kentucky on August 17, 1948 the daughter of the late Ancil and Dollie (Perry) Perry. Bessie retired from being a teacher for 27 years in the McCreary County School System and was a member of the Indian Creek United Baptist Church. She enjoyed going to church, cooking, sewing, but most important were being with her family.
Her parents; sister, Bertha Rains; daughter-in-law, Angela Perry; and 7 infant siblings precede her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Boyd Perry of Parkers Lake, Kentucky; sons, Bryan Perry of Somerset, Kentucky, Boyd Ray Perry (Natasha) of Monticello, Kentucky, and Mark Perry (Kelley) of Parkers Lake, Kentucky; brother, Carl Leonard Perry of Tiffin, Ohio; sister, Barbara Warman of Funston, Kentucky; grandchildren, Markus Perry (Angelica), Tyler Perry, Isaiah Perry (Traci), Samantha Helton (Jake), Stefani Patrick (Dustin), Bethany Turpin (Colby), Kaylee Perry (Daniel), Felicia Conaster (Thomas), Cody Conaster (Madisyn), and DJ Conaster (Katlyn); and 24 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1pm Saturday, March 9, 2024 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Patrick and Bro. Jimmie Vanover officiating. Burial to follow in the Higginbotham Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 6pm Friday, March 8, 2024 at the Funeral Home.
