JONESBORO - Beth Argo, 64, of Jonesboro, passed away Monday, Feb. 16, 2026, at her home. She was born Nov. 22, 1961, in Wynne to Mary Hunter and the late Gabe Hunter. Beth grew up in Wynne and graduated from Wynne High School. She married Fred in 1981, and they lived in Wynne until moving to Jonesboro in 1991. Beth was a graduate of Hendrix College and a faithful member of Central Baptist Church.
She shared her gifts as an art and Bible teacher at Ridgefield Christian School, pouring encouragement and wisdom into the lives of her students. In time, she also served as assistant administrator. Beth found joy in art, crafts, music, cooking, and movies. She delighted in celebrating life's moments, big and small, with thoughtful decorations and cherished traditions. Her home was a place of warmth, beauty, and belonging, shared generously with family, friends, and the pets she adored.
Above all, Beth was devoted to her faith and to the people she loved most. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother whose kindness, creativity, and gentle strength will be deeply missed and forever treasured.
In addition to her mother, Beth is survived by her husband of 45 years, Fred Argo of the home; one son, Adam (Meredith) Argo of Longmont, Colo.; two daughters, Hope Argo DeGroat of Jonesboro, Bonnie Beth Argo of Los Angeles, Calif.; one brother, Kyle (Tina) Hunter of Whitehall and six grandchildren: Hattie Argo, Moses Argo, Jubilee Argo, and Felix Argo, all of Longmont, and Wesley DeGroat and Gabe DeGroat, both of Jonesboro.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, Feb. 19, at 2 p.m. at Central Baptist Church with Don Blackmore officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will be from 12 to 2 p.m. prior to the service.
For lasting memorials, the family asks that consideration be given to Options on Main, 910 S. Main St., Jonesboro, Ark., 72401, or NEA Humane Society, 6111 E. Highland Drive, Jonesboro, Ark., 72401.
