With profound sadness and deep love, we announce the passing of Beth Ann Kreager, who left this world peacefully on June 25, 2025, at the age of 67.
Beth was born on October 16, 1957, and throughout her life, she devoted herself fully to what mattered most: her family. A loving wife, nurturing mother, and devoted Nana, Beth's life was defined by compassion, strength, and unwavering care for those she loved.
Beth was our rock, the heart of our family, a role she embraced with grace and pride. She was the very definition of a caretaker, our steady presence in every season of life. Whether we needed a listening ear after a long day, prospectives on any major life events, to asking if we really had to reach in to take the "extra" parts out of the turkey before cooking it, she always knew the best ways to respond. Beth was a shoulder to cry on, or someone to laugh with over a glass of wine, she was always there. No matter how big or small the decision, from which daycare to choose to navigating the loss of a beloved family pet, we found ourselves asking, "What would Beth do?" Her wisdom, kindness, and compassion continue to guide us.
She was a dedicated homemaker, her home was never just for her, It was for all of us, it was our haven, a place of comfort, celebration, and unconditional love. Big enough to hold every celebration, every spontaneous visit, and every late-night heart-to-heart. Her doors-and her arms-were always open. She always put her family's needs before her own and found her greatest joy in seeing her loved ones happy and healthy.
Beth never missed a chance to cheer on her children and grandchildren-attending every band competition, dance recital, gymnastics showcase, football game, and even T-ball, no matter how she felt. She showed up. Not just physically, but with her whole heart-always present, always supportive. Her greatest joy came from being surrounded by her children and grandchildren, who were truly the light of her life.
Beth will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her heartfelt hugs, her incredible meals, and the way she made every holiday magical. Her quiet strength, selfless heart, and deep devotion to her family touched everyone who knew her.
She was, simply put, the best - the best wife, the best mom, and the best Nana. Her legacy lives on in the lives she shaped, the love she gave, and the memories her family will hold dear forever.
We were lucky to call her Mom, Nana, and friend.
We will miss her every day, but we take comfort in knowing that her spirit lives on in the way we care for one another, just as she cared for us.
She was the beloved wife of John Earl Kreager, with whom she shared a life built on love, laughter, and partnership. Together, they raised two daughters who were the center of Beth's heart: Kristen Meghan Kreager and Cara Anne Opalko. She welcomed her son-in-law, Jacob Michael Opalko, into the family with warmth and love. She was a doting Nana to Ariana Lee Kreager, Zachary Levi Hadac, Samson John Opalko, and Wilson Wade Opalko - each of whom she cherished deeply.
A private service will be held with family to celebrate Beth's life and honor the beautiful person she was.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you hug your loved ones a little tighter today, in her memory.

On Thanksgiving Day a couple of years ago, the power went out for most of us in the neighborhood. Just as the Lions game was starting, I received a phone call from my neighbor, Beth. She greeted me with her usual warmth, wished us a happy Thanksgiving, and offered for me and my family to come over and join her for dinner-just in case the outage had disrupted our meal.

I was in the car on the way to my in-laws for our Thanksgiving meal when I took her call. My wife overheard the conversation, and as I hung up, we both smiled. We said something along the lines of, "How sweet is Beth?" and felt so lucky to have such a thoughtful, caring neighbor and friend.

Beth made us feel like we were more than just neighbors. She watched out for us, welcomed us, and especially adored my 4-year-old daughter. Beth brought comfort and kindness into our lives.

To us, Beth was an angel here on earth. Now she´s an angel in heaven. We´ll miss her dearly.

With love and heartfelt sympathy to the Kreager family,
Vincent, Krista, Selene & Capri
