Linda Elizabeth "Beth" Loschiavo, 78, of LaFontaine, Indiana, died at 10:22 am, Thursday, November 13, 2025. She was born on October 12, 1947, in Marion, Indiana, to Lloyd and Juanita (Tyler) Young.
Beth was a 1965 Southwood High School graduate and attended Indiana Business College. She married Michael Loschiavo on August 14, 1971, in Wabash, Indiana. Beth worked alongside her husband at LaFontaine Generator Exchange as the secretary and treasurer. She has been a member of LaFontaine United Methodist Church her entire life, which she was very active in; she started the church food pantry, and was involved in Wesleyan Circle. Beth was also in a literary club, a book club, and Daughters of the American Revolution. She loved sports, camping, traveling, her little dogs, puzzles, and games. She cherished her family, especially her grandkids, and went to many of their activities.
She is survived by her husband, Michael; four children, Jim (Bev) Benner, of Goshen, Indiana, Angie Loschiavo, of LaFontaine, Patty (Jeremy) Steele and Abby (Matt) Denney, both of Wabash, and seven grandchildren, Emily Benner, Ariel Benner, Allison Steele, Ashton Steele, Mya Denney, Jaret Denney, and Kaley Denney. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings, Robert Young and Shirley Kelsey.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at LaFontaine United Methodist Church, 2 West Kendall Street, LaFontaine, with Pastor Susan Shambaugh and Mark Wisenewski officiating. Burial will be in LaFontaine I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may call 2-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer memorials to be sent to LaFontaine United Methodist Church Food Pantry, please make check payable to the church, and indicate food pantry donation in the memo line, and send to LaFontaine Methodist Church, PO Box 57, LaFontaine, Indiana, 46940, or donate food directly to the church, as well as IU Simon Cancer Center Donations, which can be made online at https://cancer.iu.edu/giving/support.html, or by check made payable to IU Foundation with Colorectal Cancer Research in the memo line, and send to IU Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center, c/o IU Foundation, PO Box 7072, Indianapolis, Indiana 46207.
