Bethany Ann Graszler Pahl of Grand Ledge peacefully passed away on June 19, 2025, following a courageous eight-day battle with health complications. Born on March 31, 1964, in Lansing, Michigan, she was the beloved daughter of Stephen F. and Patricia (Jenerou) Graszler. As a 4th generation Grand Ledge native, Bethany graduated from Grand Ledge High School in the Class of 1982, and continued being a dedicated member of the Grand Ledge community for the remainder of her life. Bethany advanced her education by earning an Associate's Degree from Lansing Community College in 2010.
Bethany was a devoted wife to her husband, Alvin "Jack" Pahl for nearly 42 years, and a nurturing mother to her daughters, Emma (Zackery) Allen and Olivia Francis (Daniel Jr.) Buby. Bethany was proud of her family, especially finding immense joy in the lives of her grandchildren: Emmett Thomas Pahl, Theodore Allen, Zoey Bethany Allen, Danielle Buby, and Addison Buby. Bethany is also survived by her mother, Patricia Graszler; sister, Stephanie G. Beals; and brother, Stephen J. (Carolyn) Graszler. She will also by missed her nieces and nephews, Lelia Thomas, Stephen Sheren, Stacey Rice, Phil Graszler, and Shelbey Whitacker; and many cousins, aunts, and uncles. She will also be remembered by longtime best friends Becky Ramos, Rhonda Ramsey, and Debra Blackmer. Bethany was preceded in death by her dad, Stephen F. Graszler and sister, DeAnna Sheren.
Bethany always boasted that her greatest accomplishment was raising her daughters. In addition to her important roles in the family, Bethany displayed her creativity through her passion for canning, delighting many with her famous salsa and tomatoes. She loved sharing her harvests from her elaborate vegetable garden to anyone who asked, and helped many others create their own gardens, including her daughters. She will be remembered for her ever-giving heart, her genuine kindness, and the warmth she brought to everyone around her.
Throughout her life, Bethany dedicated herself to helping care for others, accomplishing her dream of becoming a License Practical Nurse (LPN). She was deeply committed to ensuring her patients and loved ones received the best medical care, and loved to learn and help teach others new things. Her compassion and warmth also shone through her various customer service jobs and involvements in community events.
Funeral services for Bethany Pahl will be held at Holihan-Atkin-Barclay Funeral Home, Grand Ledge on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at 11:00 am. Prior to the service, visitation opportunities will be available on Tuesday, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and again on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Following the ceremony, she will be laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery in Grand Ledge. A luncheon will follow at the American Legion Cole-Briggs Post 48 in Grand Ledge.
Beth's legacy of compassion and love will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered in the hearts of all who knew and loved her, as she poured love into her family and friends, creating cherished memories that will last a lifetime.
