Betty Ann Ann McConnell

Betty Ann McConnell, age 89, resident of St. Petersburg, Florida, formerly of Pulaski, passed away Saturday at Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg. Betty Ann was born December 22, 1935, in Oswego, the daughter of Delbert and Anna Nichols Whaley. She graduated from Pulaski High School in 1954 and received her nursing degree from Oswego State. Betty Ann was married to her husband of 47-years, Mickey McConnell on September 23, 1977. She was employed by Oswego Hospital as a nurse for several years, before moving into private duty nursing until her retirement.

Betty Ann was an active member of Northeast Park Southern Baptist Church in St. Petersburg. She loved and kept horses was very active in the 4-H program while her children were growing up.

Surviving are her husband, Mickey McConnell of St. Petersburg, three sons, Jim (Marilyn) Quackenbush of Pulaski, Dana Quackenbush of Pulaski and Donald Quackenbush of Mexico, seven grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Donald Whaley of Sandy Creek and sister, Jean Marie Poole of Pulaski.

Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m., Thursday, July 3rd at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski with burial in South Richland Cemetery in Fernwood. Calling hours will be held from 10a.m. to noon prior to the service.
