Betty Autin, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, peacefully passed away on June 21, 2024, at the age of 95. She was born on June 10, 1929, in Egan, LA, to Joseph and Adez Meche Oliver.
Betty resided in Jennings, LA for most of her life. She dedicated herself to her family as a loving and devoted homemaker. Betty's warm and nurturing nature brought joy and comfort to all those around her.
Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Junius Paul Autin, as well as her parents, Joseph and Adez Meche Oliver. She is survived by her daughter, Trina (Tommy) Hensgens, and her son, Kyle (Stacey) Autin. Betty's memory will forever be treasured by her grandchildren: Megan (Christian) Bertrand, Katherine (Sal) Ange, William Hensgens, Paul Autin, and Jack Autin. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren, John Christian Bertrand, Jane Bertrand, Thomas Bertrand, Margaret Ange, and Michael Ange.
In addition to her family, Betty was an active member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Ladies Altar Society. She found solace and strength in her faith, and her kindness and compassion were evident in her involvement within the community.
A Funeral Mass in memory of Betty Autin will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, officiated by Father Trey Ange. Prior to the Mass, visitation will take place in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel in Jennings from 9:00 a.m. until the service time at the church. A rosary will be recited at 12:00 p.m. on the same day.
Betty Autin will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, and her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire us all. May she rest in eternal peace.
