Betty Jean Bacon, 73, affectionately known as "Porky", died on November 2, 2025 at Virtua Memorial Hospital, Mount Holly, New Jersey.
Betty was born and raised in Georgetown, New Jersey, before moving to Chesterfield, NJ. She graduated from Northern Burlington Regional High School. She resided in Chesterfield, New Jersey for over 50 years.
Betty worked a successful career as a secretary for over 25 years at numerous locations, including the Burlington County Library System, McGuire Air Force Base, and the United States Department of Agriculture, which she retired from in September 2011.
She was attended St. Mark Baptist Church in Browns Mills, NJ, for over 25 years and was dedicated to her faith.
She enjoyed cooking, learning about history, family gatherings, playing cards, her doll and figurine collection, and going on bus trips.
Betty is predeceased by her father, Edward Hill and stepfather, Willie Frank Woner.
Betty is survived by her children, James and Dwayne Bacon of Chesterfield, NJ; many grandchildren; mother, Callie Nancy Woner; sister, Robin Woner Long of Burlington, NJ; brothers, Richard Woner (Charlene) of Columbus, NJ, and Louis Woner (Carol) of Mount Holly, NJ; stepbrother, Raymond; stepsisters, Linda and Barbara; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
