Betty Connelly (FitzGerald) passed away peacefully October 17th at the age of 95. Born in Milton on March 3rd, 1930 to Frank and Lillian FitzGerald, she was one of seven children and was the last surviving of her siblings, all of whom she cherished deeply. She married the love of her life Bob Connelly in 1951, enjoying 65 years together before his passing in 2016. Together they had five children.

Betty lived a full and joyful life centered around family, laughter and music. She was a talented dressmaker whose creativity and care could be seen in every stitch. Alongside her late husband Bob, she shared her love of country music as members of a country western band - a love of music that lives on through their children and grandchildren.

Betty had a zest for life and a sparkle that never dimmed. She loved trips to the casino, enjoyed a good margarita, dancing with her husband, and could often be found smiling, laughing, and sharing stories with the people she loved most. Her warmth, quick wit and generous spirit made her a joy to be around.

She is survived by her children Robert Connelly and his wife Loretta of East Bridgewater, James Connelly of Scituate, John Connelly and his wife Lynae of Hanson, Helen Levesque and her husband John of Middleborough, and is reunited in heaven with her son Frank Connelly. Betty was the cherished grandmother to 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will forever remember her laughter, smile, and love.

Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 45 East Water St., Rockland on Thursday October 23rd from 4-7pm. A funeral home service will be held on Friday October 24th at 11am. Burial to follow at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Betty's memory to Dignity Hospice, 260 Cochituate Road Suite 201. Framingham, MA 01701
