Betty L. Drennen, 94, of Warren, passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at her home with her family by her side.
Betty was born October 24, 1930 in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of Arthur and Rhea (Keyman) Murphy. She had worked for Trumbull Lamp and then retired after 17 years as an account clerk from Litco Co., in Vienna.
Betty was a member of Church Hill United Methodist Church. She had been a past president for the Liberty Mothers Club from 1972-1973. Betty enjoyed many cruise vacations in her lifetime, square dancing with her husband John, gardening, reading, cooking, and had a great devotion to her family.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her sons; Richard Drennen (Lorraine - Deceased), of Girard, Ronald (Judy) Drennen of Liberty Twp., and Randall (Karen) Drennen of Champion; Grandchildren; Bryan (Jenn), Brad (Beth), Blake (Sarah), Jay (Annie), Jon (Jaime), Jamey (Melanie) and Kate (Johnathon); Great-grandchildren; Haley (Ethan), Riley (Alyssa), Emily, Star, Savannah, Logan, Olive, Alivia, Amelia and Parker.Betty is preceded in death by her husband, John H. Drennen, whom she married March 10, 1951 and died September 12, 2004,;her sister, Mary Bartlomain; her brother, Thomas Murphy; and her daughter-in-law, Lorraine Drennen.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 8th, at 11:30 AM at Blackstone Funeral Home, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
Betty will be laid to rest at Niles Union Cemetery next to her husband.
Her family suggests that in lieu of flowers, any memorial contributions be made to a charity of choice in memory of Betty.
