Betty Faust Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bevis Funeral Home - Tallahassee on Apr. 27, 2024.
Betty Jane Faust of Tallahassee, Florida, died peacefully on April 22,2024; she was 89.
Betty was born on August 10,1934, in Chicago, IL. She graduated from Northside High School, Ft. Wayne, IN in 1951. In January of 1953, she married Richard Faust – they had two sons and one daughter.
Betty was passionate about many things in her life and was always busy – including a career as an accountant for the State of Florida with the Department of Revenue and the Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services.
She was a voracious reader; loved working crossword puzzles; and grew and showed African Violets. Betty excelled at ceramics – making Native American motif pots by hand; was a tap dancer at the age of 6 and played the piano. She loved to travel to Arizona and New Mexico; and spent countless hours crocheting afghan blankets for family. She was successful at everything she did.
She will be deeply missed by family and will be remembered for her boundless love and caring for her family.
Betty was predeceased by her parents, Percy E. and Dorothea Heilemann Terry, her sister Ellen, and her daughter Susan. She is survived by her husband Richard D. Faust, two sons, Mark (Katherine), and Craig (Scarlet); granddaughters Sarah (Erik) and Lindsey (Anthony); three great granddaughters and one great grandson.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, May 3, 2024 at Tallahassee Memory Gardens, 4037 N. Monroe St. Tallahassee, FL 32303, Todd Wahlquist is assisting the family with their arrangements (850-385-2193, www.bevisfh.com).
