SHE WAS BORN IN NASHVILLE, TN ON JULY 19, 1933 TO TOM THADDEUS "THAD" ANDERSON AND SORENA PEARL (MORGAN) ANDERSON. SHE GRADUATED FROM EAST HIGH IN NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE, THEN MARRIED LEWIS EDWARD GAINES IN 1950. ALWAYS LOVED THE LORD AND WAS PROUD TO BE MOTHER TO THREE CHILDREN (EDDIE, SYNTHIA & RICKY).
BETTY SUE WORKED FOR WSM GRAND OLE OPRY TOURS FROM THE LATE 1970'S AND LATER FOR GAYLORD ENTERTAINMENT PROPERTIES AT THE RYMAN AUDITORIUM'S TICKET OFFICE UNTIL HER EVENTUAL RETIREMENT AT 84 YEARS OF AGE. SHE WAS VOTED "CHAIRMAN'S AWARD WINNER" FOR HOSPITALITY IN 2011 BY GAYLORD PROPERTIES.
BETTY SUE (GRAM) IS SURVIVED BY HER DAUGHTER – SYNTHIA JO (GAINES) DAVID, BOBBY DAVID, SPOUSE, JOHN T BENSON V, GRANDSON, AMY MAUREY BENSON, SPOUSE, JONAS BENSON & JUDE BENSON, GREAT GRANDSONS; HER SON – RICHARD ALAN GAINES, PAULA PERKINS GAINES, SPOUSE, ANDREA CLAIRE (GAINES) HAGEWOOD, GRANDDAUGHTER, CANNON ELIZABETH HAGEWOOD, CRUZ COAL HAGEWOOD, & CODA MILES HAGEWOOD, GREAT GRANDCHILDREN; BRANDON ALAN GAINES, GRANDSON, KRYSTAL (WITZBERGER) GAINES, SPOUSE, MCKENZIE CHEYENNE GAINES & ROWDY ALAN GAINES, GREAT GRANDCHILDREN; TREY & TRAVIS, GRANDCHILDREN; TONITA (TONI) REEVES,NIECE; BARBARA SUE (GAINES) HALCOMB, NIECE, RICK HALCOMB, SPOUSE & THEIR CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN; CLAY GAINES, JR, LINDA (BLACK) GAINES, SPOUSE (DECEASED) & THEIR CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN; WINSTON GAINES, LINDA (CAREY) GAINES, SPOUSE AND THEIR CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN.
SHE IS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER MOTHER – SORENA MORGAN ANDERSON, HER FATHER – TOM THADDEUS ANDERSON, SISTER – ANNE MIRLYN (ANDERSON) REEVES; LEWIS EDWARD GAINES, JR, SON (EDDIE) AND MANY AUNTS, UNCLES, COUSINS & FRIENDS.
AS SHE WISHED BETTY SUE WILL BE IMMEDIATELY CREMATED AT BALDWIN BROTHERS CREMATION AND FUNERAL HOME, OCALA, FLORIDA AND THE FAMILY WILL HOLD A CELEBRATION OF LIFE EVENT IN TENNESSEE AT BRANDON & KRYSTAL GAINES HOME IN GALLATIN, TN (DATE SOON TO BE DETERMINED AND ANNOUNCED).
