Betty Goad, affectionately known as “BeBe,” passed peacefully into the arms of her Heavenly Father on September 14th, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.

Born July 22, 1940 in Shelmerdine, North Carolina, to Agnes and Carl Harper, Betty was the youngest of six girls among eleven siblings. She is survived by her devoted husband, Henry Goad; her daughters, Cyndi Fisher (Brack) and Terry O’Boyle (Ken); her cherished grandsons, Chad Fisher and Chance Toepper; and her beloved brother, Billy Harper (Mary Ann), her only surviving sibling.

Betty was a woman of unwavering faith and a long-time member of Seaford Baptist Church, where she was actively involved in the Women’s Ministry and Seniors Group for over 40 years. Her love for the Lord was evident in her service and in the way she cared for others.

She was a proud graduate of Hampton High School and a long-time resident of Hampton, Virginia, where she was active in the Women’s Club and the Eastern Star. Betty retired from Fort Eustis after a dedicated career and continued to enjoy life through travel, especially her cherished annual trips to Atlantic Beach with Billy, Mary Ann, Millie and Mike.

Betty’s warmth, strength, and devotion to her family and faith touched everyone who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she loved and served.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all our family and friends for your prayers, visits, calls and meals. Special thanks to friends Jerry and Lana Nichols, and Donald and Karen Hair, for their unwavering support and help over the past few months. A special thank you for their visits, food, and love . Thank you to our Riverside Hospice, team , Ashley, Debbie and Mandy for their tender care and helping us keep her comfortable at home until the end.
