Betty Lee Gordon, 60, of Mercersburg, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023 in the WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital.
Born August 23, 1963 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the later Roger Calvin Shoop and Mary Ann Needham Shoop.
Betty graduated from James Buchanan High School in 1983. She married Phillip Lee Gordon Sr and they had two children, Phillip and Tonya. Betty loved to laugh and have a good time. She enjoyed spending time in the kitchen cooking for her family and also taking trips to Cowan's Gap. She loved listening to rock and country music and like to complete jigsaw puzzles. She loved roses, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and spending time with her family and friends.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Tonya (Shawn) Miller of Ridgeley, WV, a son, Phillip Gordon Jr. of Chambersburg, a step-son, Shawn Gordon, and 4 grandchildren, Jordon Stottlemyer, Kyra Tedrick, Sierra and Shawna Miller. She is survived by her mother, Mary Ann Shoop, and her siblings, Jay (Angel) Shoop, Stacey Shoop, Robert Shoop, and Mary Baughman.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Lee Gordon Sr. and her stepchildren, Tina Fleegle and Bradley Gordon.
At this time, no services are scheduled but will be planned at a later date.
