Betty Lou Harris of Saline, MI, age 95 passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. Betty was born March 24, 1930, in Ann Arbor, MI to the late Inslee and Mildred (Ashbay) Warner. She graduated from St. Thomas Catholic School in 1948. On October 15, 1949, she was married at St. Thomas Catholic Church to the late Robert Allen Harris of Saline, MI.
Betty had five children: Richard (Sue) Harris of Lakeland, Florida, the late Douglas and wife Vicki Harris of Saline, Lori (Larry) Harris of Ypsilanti, and Michael and Cindy who passed shortly after birth. Betty is survived by her grandchildren Allison (Andy) MacKay, Michelle Clark, Justin (Alisha) Harris, Sara (Jeremy) Shufeldt, Jessica (Michael) Bandrofchak, and Brandon Hammond; and her great grandchildren Derrik Clark, Desiree Clark, Breann Thompson, Rylee Chase, Hailey Reed, Michael McGuffin and Wren McGuffin.
Betty worked at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital and Saline Community Hospital until her retirement. She was an active member of St. Andrew's Church in Saline including Bingo, Parish Council, Eucharist Minister, Funeral Committee, Kitchen over-seer, money tabulator and many other events. Betty enjoyed her membership in both the Saline and Pittsfield Senior Centers. Betty loved sewing and quilting and was a member of the Greater Ann Arbor Quilt Guild and the Phantom Quilters, a group of very dear and loving friends who met regularly.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Saline on Wednesday, October 29th, 2025; visitation to begin at 10:00 A.M., Mass at 11:00 A.M., then inurnment in the church's columbarium, and a luncheon to follow.
