On November 18, 1951, in Daisetta, Texas a star was born. Betty Louise Miree came into this world to Calvin and Allee Humphrey. She lived, laughed and loved. Ms. Betty was someone who was going to give it to you straight as she saw it. She was our source of wisdom, a good listener and our confidant, and she loved beyond faults. To know Ms. Betty was to love her. She was our family matriarch that held the family together ~ our rock.
Ms. Betty confessed her faith in Christ at an early age and joined Bible Way Outreach Church where she remained until the Lord called her home.
Ms. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Allee Humphrey; her siblings, Lillian, Bobby and Wayne.
She leaves to cherish her memories to her children, Stephen Humphrey (Rosalind), of Dickinson, Texas; Opal Miree "Ross" (John) of Angleton, Texas; Johnny Miree (Melinda), of Galveston, Texas, and Lonnie Miree (Esther) of Dickinson, Texas; her bonus child, Oneka Brown of Houston, Texas; her brother Amos Humphrey (Mattie) of Dickinson, Texas; her grandchildren, Danyell, Danesha, CraShanae, Craignasha, Corey, Ayden, and Sky; her god daughter, Wynell Collins, nanny babies, Tiesha Bush, and Jessica; her special friend of the family Katina Cox Luna; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, nanny babies, relatives and friends who will also cherish her memories To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Betty, please visit our floral store.
