Ms. Sue was born August 17, 1935 in Vernon, Alabama to the late Grady Merchant and the late Evie Jane Elliott Merchant. She attended Lamar County High School. Betty previously worked at Health-Tex in Guin, AL and later worked as a LPN at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, MS and at Gilmore Memorial Hospital in Amory, MS. She enjoyed throwing darts and playing Bingo, but her greatest enjoyment was getting to spend any time she could with her daughters, whom she adored. She loved her family dearly and her kind heart and beautiful spirit will always be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.
