Mrs. Betty Stanton Palmer, age 81 of Kennesaw, passed into the loving arms of Jesus on Tuesday morning, September 17, 2024.
She was born December 13, 1942, in Knoxville, Tennessee, daughter of the late Harold Stanton and the late Lucy Guinn Stanton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Palmer on March 13, 2008; grandparents, John and Myrtle Stanton and Frank and Jenny Guinn; brothers, John Stanton, James Stanton and William Stanton; sisters, Marion Stanton and Carolyn Phillips; mother-in-law, June Bone; and brother-in-law, Marvin Bone.
She is survived by her sister, Jacquelyn Craig of Maryville, TN; nieces, Lisa Bradley of White Pine, TN, Tara (Brian) Carey of Knoxville, TN and Jennifer (Luke) Boatright of Glenwood, Iowa; nephews, Daniel Phillips of Atlanta and Jason Stanton of Florida; and brothers-in-law, James Phillips and Ottis Bone of Georgia.
Also surviving are her dear friends, Jackie Robinson, Andy Dean, Candace Darden and caregiver, Sarah Panell.
She was of the Baptist faith and will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
