Betty H. (Heasley) Peppler, 90, of Bethel Township, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025 in Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Cabot.
Born March 19, 1935 in Lower Mateer, PA, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth Heasley & Ada (Scott) Heasley.
Betty was a 1953 graduate of Ford City High School, and worked at West Penn Power for a time. She was later employed as the assistant manager at the former Integra, National City, and PNC Bank in Vandergrift, retiring in 1998.
Betty was a member and former secretary of both the Business Professional Women's Club of Pennsylvania (BPW) and member and former secretary of the Kiwanis Club.
She was an excellent cook and enjoyed baking, known for her delicious homemade bread and buns. Betty also liked playing cards, and playing Yahtzee with her friend Carol Brown. She loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Roy H. Peppler, Jr., who passed away on August 12, 2011; daughter, Janice McGarrity, who passed away on August 11, 2018; and her sister, Esther Peppler.
Betty is survived by her children, David A. (Diane) Peppler of Bethel Township, Nancy J. (Richard) Doverspike of Avonmore; grandchildren, Angie (Curt) Lufsey of New Bethlehem, Joseph (Allie Bowser) McGarrity of Parker, Jessica (Steve) Manofsky of Apollo, Richard (Shelby) Doverspike, Jr. of Allegheny Township, Tyler Doverspike of Leechburg, Brian Peppler of Vandergrift, Sarah (fiancé Shane Toth) Peppler of Allegheny Township; great-grandchildren, Cole, Shea, Jayce, Jackson, Anna, Carter, Christian; sister, ValJean Eckman of Elderton; and nieces and nephews.
At Betty's request, all services are private, and have been entrusted to the Curran-Shaffer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Apollo.
