She was born in Stroud, Oklahoma on February 20, 1933 to Clyde and Midge (Manning) Allen. She loved playing bridge, quilting at the Methodist Church, tending to her garden and plants and helped Jim take care of the cows or sheep on the farm. Betty was a lifelong member of the Stroud United Methodist Church and loved her Church family.
