Betty Sewell Obituary

Betty was born in Muncie on July 7, 1929, the daughter of Charles and Esther Lambert. She was the last remaining survivor of fourteen children.
Betty retired from Albany Nursing after several years. She enjoyed bingo, bowling and her CB Club. She lived in Muncie for most of her life, moving to Greenwood a few years ago to be closer to her family.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Jonelaine Sewell; niece, Molly Lambert; sister-in-law, Judy Sewell; brother-in-law, Gerald Hastings; along with special friends, Tom and Michelle St. John.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Verdon in 1966; her son, David in 2013; thirteen brothers and sisters; and her parents.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, north of Muncie.
The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel is in charge of arrangements and online condolences may be sent to the family at www.meeksmortuary.com.
