Betty "Betty Lou" Welsh Strosnider of Middletown, VA passed away unexpectedly Tuesday September 16, 2025, at The Village at Orchard Ridge Rehabilitation Center. Born on July 29, 1936, in Frederick County, VA. Betty was the daughter of the late Noble and Agnes Fiddler Welsh.

Betty married the love of her life Harold N. "Buddy" Strosnider on October 24, 1953, in Hagerstown, MD. He preceded her in death on January 30, 2021, after 67 years of marriage.

Betty was a secretary for Lindsey Soft Water. She was also a member of Green Valley Baptist Church in Middletown, VA. Betty sang with the Glory Tones Gospel Singers and In One Accord.

She is survived by siblings Glenn Welsh (Jean), Mary Levesque (Paul) and Charles Welsh (Barbara) and 2 special nephews, Roger Strosnider and Sammy Payton and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and husband Betty is preceded in death by her siblings Genevieve Madagan, Catherine Welsh, Noble Welsh Jr., Fred Welsh, Peg Waters and Stevie Welsh. Her niece Sharon Madagan and her nephew Justin Welsh.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, from 6pm to 8pm with a service to be conducted the following day, Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at 11am all held at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park. Officiating will be Pastor Tim Kirchoff.

Pallbearers will be Douglas Madagan, Jr., Bobby, Jason and John Welsh, David Waters, Chris Waters and Eric Welsh.

Flowers are welcome and memorial contributions may be made in Betty's memory to Green Valley Baptist Church, P.O. Box 494, Middletown, VA 22645 or Middletown Fire and Rescue, P.O. Box 111, Middletown, VA 22645.

The family would like to thank the staff at Orchard Ridge who took such wonderful care of Betty.
