It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Betty Faye Tolbert departed this life on Saturday August 16, 2025, at the age of 82. A funeral service to honor the life of Betty Faye Tolbert will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at 12 Noon at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel with Bro. Glenn York officiating. Burial will follow in Green Haven Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 PM on Monday and 11 am until service time on Tuesday.
Born on January 2, 1943, in Dutton, Alabama to parents Verna and Junior Taylor. Betty lived a life marked by grace, kindness, devotion, and most of all love. Betty dedicated her life to her family. Her greatest joy came from caring for her loved ones, celebrating their milestones, and being a constant source of encouragement and strength. As a devoted wife, she shared a life of love and partnership for 59 years with husband, Lowell W Tolbert.
Those who knew Betty will remember her gentle spirit, her kind words, and the way she gave of herself tirelessly without hesitation, never expecting anything in return. Her presence was a blessing, and her absence will be deeply felt.
She is survived by her children, Vickie Gilley (Trent) and April Kyle (Mitchell). Grandchildren Jessica Sharp (Brendan), Nick Gilley (Chantel), Dallas Piazza (Brian), Maggie Gilley and Justin Kyle. Great-Grandchildren Sophie Sharp, Millie Sharp, Jaxon Gilley, Walker Gilley, Aaliyah Jade Kyle and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Stacey Tolbert; husband, Lowell Tolbert; brother, Berlin Taylor; Great-Grandchildren, Cason Bill Gilley and Calan Dwight Kyle.
