Betty Wauthenia Tubbs was born May 1, 1936 in Grand Saline, TX, and passed away peacefully on August 15, 2020 in Seguin, TX at the age of 84. She is preceded in death by her daughter Pamela Tubbs Bonds, husband William E. Tubbs and parents Clinton and Pearl Brown. Betty is survived by son William Bruce Tubbs, daughter Mona Tubbs Baugh, and son Michael Tubbs. Along with her 4 children, 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren, Betty has 38 direct descendants and will be greatly missed.
Betty lived a full life, as a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, and grandmother. Betty was kind, giving, and a shining example of a woman of faith in God that loved Jesus the Christ, her family, and many friends. Betty ran her race for those 84 years, was met at the finish line with the joy and love of our Jesus and those gone before. The rewards and celebration at the winner’s circle are so much better than we can imagine. One day we will meet her there.
A visitation and celebration of Betty’s life will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2020 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be conducted on Monday, August 31, 2020 at 9:00am at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel with the interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
