Betty Joe Youngblood

Betty Joe Youngblood, age 81, of Eucha, OK died peacefully with family and friends by her side at Monroe Manor Jay, OK on April 7, 2025. Betty was born October 14, 1943, in Pryor, OK to Burnie and Toy(Dick) Youngblood.
She was a God-fearing Christian woman who lived a life devoted to her family. Although she never had kids of her own, she had a large role in raising her niece and nephew. Their childhoods were happier for having had her in them. She spoiled them every chance she got. She also loved animals, especially her fur babies, Tucker and Plumber. Betty was a graduate of Jay High School, Class of 1961. She retired after 40 years of dedicated service to first Guinn Nursing Home which later became Monroe Manor. She loved her work as Activities Director. Betty could throw a party together on a dime and everyone would have the best time. She could fix almost anything with duct tape and panty hose from home repairs to automotive. Betty will be definitely missed by all who knew her.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Burnie and Toy Youngblood; sister, Mary Killion; infant niece, Keitha Jo Killion; and her beloved fur babies, Tucker and Plumber.
Betty is survived by her nephew, Stony Killion and wife Deidra of Eucha, OK; niece, Hannah Sikes and husband James of Jay, OK; great-niece, Lydie Killion and great-nephews, Jasper and Caleb Sikes; extended family members and friends.
Betty's Celebration of Life Family Visitation to greet friends will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 6:00-8:00pm at Lawson's Funeral Homes & Cremation Chapel, 311 W. Gray St., Jay, OK 74346.
Betty's Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Friday, 2:00pm, April 11, 2025 at Eucha Holiness Church, 43285 County Rd 559, Eucha, OK 74342 with Pastor Wayne Hunt officiating. Followed by her funeral procession to New Eucha Cemetery, Eucha, OK.
Betty's burial will be at New Eucha Cemetery, Eucha, OK.
