Beverly Sue Adams Morgan

The heavenly reunion of Sue has begun. Her journey home to see her Lord and Savior started on November 8, 2025. Sue was overjoyed to be reunited with her parents and loved ones. She was a dedicated member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Sue had a beautiful love and devotion to Jesus Christ. Her favorite pastimes were gardening, decorating her home, cooking for her family, and camping. Sue especially had a love for the mountains. She was very proud of her award-winning homegrown strawberries that she raised. Above all, Sue considered her greatest accomplishment raising her two boys to be great men who are loving and dedicated husbands and fathers. She was a storybook Maw Maw, as she was lovingly called by her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Sue's memory and love will be held in the hearts of all her dearest loved ones.
Sue is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Allen "Gene" Gatlin and wife Christine, Jeremy Todd Gatlin and wife Erin, and her stepson, James "Jimbo" Haltom and wife Amy; grandchildren, Charlie "CJ" Gatlin, Wyatt Gatlin, Elly Gatlin, Kaci Freeman (PJ), Lauren Simmons, Jaedyn Lamonica, Aleena Gatlin, Aubrey Haltom, Emma Haltom, and James Haltom; great-grandchildren, Brayden Liuzza, Roy "RJ" Liuzza Jr., and Mason Simmons; brother, Kenny Adams and wife Billie Jane, whom was her lifelong best friend; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Sue is preceded in death by her parents, Alton Eugene Adams and Cecilia Shaffer Adams; step-daughter, Janie Lynn Blouin; ex-husband, McArthur Gatlin, husband, Jimmy Haltom, husband, Roy Morgan; sister, Doris Gladys Adams Nickens; brothers, Alton Ray Adams, Melvin Gene Adams, Bobby Gene Adams, and Jerry Shelton Adams.
Special, heartfelt thanks to Sue's caring sitter, Janet Weeks and loving daughter-in-law, Christine Gatlin. Furthermore, sincere gratitude to the devoted staff from Gentiva Hospice, Carrie Fisher(nurse) and Kathy Borden(personal care attendant). These women were true angels and loved Sue with kind hearts and delicate hands.
Family and Friends are invited to a visitation on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home in Hammond, Louisiana at 10:30 a.m. until the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. which will be officiated by Pastor Bradley Miller. Interment will follow at Macedonia Landmark Missionary Baptist Cemetery.
