Paul Joseph Nicolosi

Paul, age 91, passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2025. He was a native and resident of Hammond, Louisiana. Paul was brought up with the love of boxing. He boxed in Louisiana and Chicago and was going for the title. He gave it up and settled down with his wife of 69 years. He served as a Deputy Sheriff for numerous years. They owned Paul's Po-boy for numerous years. He enjoyed life to the fullest until the year of 2000 when he went totally blind. It didn't stop him from living, he started building bird houses, and bicycling with his granddaughter. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather who will be forever missed by those who loved him and knew him.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of 69 wonderful years, Patsy Nicolosi; daughters, Terri Brettillo (Johnny) and Linda Thorske; his two granddaughters, Ashley Pierson (John), Toshia Vampran (Joey) has been his caregivers for years. He had 19 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Peno Nicolosi and Josephine Palermo; brother, Joe Nicolosi; sister-in-law, Marie Nicolosi; daughters, Paula Nicolosi and Debra Henry and husband Lonnie; son-in-law, Johnny Thorske; son, Michael Nicolosi; grandson, Michael Nicolosi Jr.; granddaughter-in-law, Christina Nicolosi; and great-grandson, Cash.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation at the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home 12012 Hwy. 190 W. Hammond, LA 70401, on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until the Memorial Service at 12:00 p.m.
