Beverly Ann Bitter

Beverly Ann Bitter, a loving wife and mother was called home to our Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 30th, 2024. She passed away surrounded by her family just days before her 78th birthday. She was born on May 5th, 1946, to the late Frank and Verona (Winter) Bellin. Bev was born in Appleton and grew up on a farm in Fremont. At the age of 18, she moved out on her own to Oshkosh for a short time. She got a job at Buckstaffs, where she met her husband of 58 years, Ronald John Bitter. They married when she was 19 and they moved to Neenah, where she resided for the remainder of her life. Bev worked at Theda Clark for ten years and then went on to clean houses for several years.
Bev and Ron loved to travel, seek new adventures, and meet new people. She and Ron traveled throughout the country from coast to coast and loved to visit National Parks. Some of their travels included Canada, Alaska, Mexico, and Africa, as well as travels to Europe three times.
Bev loved spending time with friends and family. She was always up for a conversation and had many stories to tell. She also enjoyed reading, puzzles, thrifting, and going to see the Timber Rattlers baseball games. She was an avid football fan and enjoyed spending Sunday afternoons watching football.
Bev had a strong belief in God and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Neenah for over 50 years.
Bev had a heart of gold and was always willing to help out anyway she could. She was an extremely giving person and was always thinking of others. She will be missed dearly.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ron Bitter; children, Mike Bitter, Melissa (Gregory) Spearick; grandson, Zackary Bitter and her younger brother, Roger Bellin. She is further survived by many lifelong friends, as well as new ones, many in-laws, nieces, nephews and extended family.
She is preceded in death by her father, Frank Bellin and her mother, Verona Bellin.
A funeral service will take place at 5 pm on Tuesday, May 7th, at Grace Lutheran Church, 1390 Breezewood Lane, Neenah. Friends may visit at the church on Tuesday from 3 pm until 4:45 pm. Bev will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Neenah. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
