Beverly Joyce Boyer was born on August 14, 1949 to Clyde and Doris (Meyer) Reninger in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was raised on the family farm in Geneseo, Iowa and worked with her dad doing chores and field work. She was confirmed on June, 1954 at the Geneseo Methodist Church. Bev had a strong relationship with Jesus from a young age, a relationship that she valued and spent the rest of her life honoring. During high school, she played drums in the band and was active in the local 4-H. On May 19, 1967, she graduated from Janesville High School. Bev was united in marriage to Marlyn Dale Brown on May 2, 1970 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The couple was married for 18 years before later divorcing. She continued her education by attending the American Institute of Commerce for Secretarial Specialist, graduating in February of 1990. On June 15, 1996, Bev was united in marriage to Mark Lee Boyer at the Celebration Church: Assembly of God in Waterloo, Iowa. After their marriage, they resided in Marysville, Kansas for a short period of time before settling down in Luverne, Minnesota.
Bev was a member of Rock River Community Church in Luverne. She found great joy in completing puzzles and often times framed them. She loved listening to Christian music and country music and keeping busy with coloring scripture books. When Bev wasn't working on a puzzle or color book, she could usually be found with a good mystery book in her hands. Bev always had a special place in her heart for tigers and leopards and especially her beloved cat, Honey. In April, 2025 she retired from ACE Hardware Store - her home away from home. Her coworkers were more than colleagues; they were her second family. On Friday, June 13, 2025, she passed away peacefully at her home in Luverne at the age of 75 years, nine months and 30 days.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Mark Boyer of Luverne, Minnesota; her three children, Michelle (Thomas) Swenson of Luverne, Brian (Donna) Brown of Algona, Iowa and Brenda (Kerry Kannas) Boyer of Hills, Minnesota; 11 grandchildren, Micheal, Thomas, Daniel, Isabella, Kayla, Mariah, Jeffrey, Triston, Trisha, Jessy and Trista; 20 great-grandchildren; and five siblings, Laura Payne of Mount Auburn, Iowa, Virginia (Eugene) Robinson of Janesville, Iowa, Golden (Merri) Reninger of Weatherford, Texas, Christian (Judy) Reninger of Boonsville, Missouri and Carl (Brenda) Reninger of Cedar Falls, Iowa.
