Born at home in Buchanan, Michigan to her parents Samuel and Verna (Kirk) Milner on September 30th, 1943 passed away peacefully on July 23rd, 2024 after a brief illness. Beverly was preceded in death by her beloved parents and her brother Thomas Milner and Sister Marlene Secord.
She is survived by her Daughter Debra (Cauffman) McNitt and her Son Scott Cauffman. Her Grandchildren Robyn (Jerom Jankoviak) Wagner and Matthew (Heather) McNitt and her Great Grandchildren Jevon, Nolan, Landon, Jace, Mylie, Jaxon, Hunter and Emilia. Her Brothers Vernon (Alda) Milner and Charles Milner and her Sister Martha Lykins and Brother-in-law John Secord and many Nieces and Nephews.
Beverly retired from Nickell Moulding in Elkhart after 36 years in August of 2017. She loved every year! Most mornings after retirement you’d find Bev enjoying a cup of coffee with her son Scott at his home and spending time with him running errands. Bev loved to be outside. One of Bev’s favorite things to do was walking along the Niles Riverfront with some peanuts to feed the squirrels. Bev loved going on get aways with her daughter Debbie visiting Mackinaw City, Grand Haven, Holland, Toledo Zoo, (to feed the Giraffe’s), a Chicago River Cruise and Marblehead Lighthouse in Ohio. Beverly often talked about the trip to Norfolk, Virginia with Debbie and Robyn to welcome Matthew home from his Navy deployment and watching his Submarine come into port. Beverly and Debbie would frequently visit the local Botanical Gardens, Fernwood in Buchanan, Friendship Gardens in Michigan City and Wellfield in Elkhart of which they are members of. They ventured a little farther to visit Chicago Botanical Gardens, Anderson Japanese Gardens in Rockford, IL and Millennium Park in Grand Rapids. Bev also enjoyed family gatherings and picnics with her Nieces and Nephews. But what Bev loved most is spending time with her Grand kids and Great Grand kids. She loved them with all her heart.
In accordance with Beverly’s wishes the Family of Beverly will gather privately to honor her, share memories and celebrate her life. Contributions in memory of Beverly may be made to Fernwood Botanical Garden and Nature Preserve, 13988 Rangeline Road, Niles, Michigan 49120, https://www.fernwoodbotanical.org/.
