Beverly Collins Obituary
Beverly Biffle Collins, 90, a former resident of Columbia, died Sunday, January 11, 2026 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 31, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Online condolences may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com.
Born on October 3, 1935 in Columbia, TN to the late James Kendrick Biffle and the late Lillie Pearl Kincade Biffle. Beverly graduated from Tullahoma High School in 1953. She was mainly a homemaker, but for several years she worked for Gibson Guitar and the United States Postal Service and various other jobs. Beverly enjoyed cooking and gardening.
Survivors include her sons Sam Weakley Carney of Mt. Juliet and Stuart Clay Carney of Westfield, New Jersey; a sister Martha Sue Haynes of Lavergne, TN; and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings; Betty James, Doris Kriegel, Grace Doering, Patsy Kennedy, Elise Richardson, Nancy Barrow, Carolyn Dodson, Jack Biffle, Larry Biffle, and Byron Biffle.
Pallbearers will be Jason Dodson, Mike Bone, Steve Richardson, Kenneth Haynes, Nolan Bone, and Shane Haynes.
