Beverly Ficks Obituary

Born August 20, 1958 in Gary, Indiana, she was a daughter of the late Billy W. and Peggy A. McDougal Phillips.
Beverly married Michael Ficks on August 2, 1975. For the past 25 years, Beverly worked for New Visions Inc and was a dedicated volunteer at the Tuscarora Senior Center. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking, canning, reading, and going to the beach. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed their annual shopping trips after Thanksgiving. Beverly enjoyed taking trips to see her family in Indiana and Louisiana.
Beverly is survived by her husband of 48 years, Michael Ficks, a daughter, Tracy (Jamie) Piper, a son, Josh (Michaela) Ficks, grandchildren: Gage, Taylor, Jonathan, Michael, and Annika, two great-grandchildren, Kaelyn and Auriella, two brothers, Robert W. (Lindsay) Phillips, Jimmy L. (Tammy) Phillips, and 2 sisters, Treva Lynn Trapen, and Michele (Jon) Gal.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Matthew and Adam Ficks, and a brother, Billy Phillips.
A memorial service will be 4:00PM on Saturday, April 20, at Fries Funeral Home in Mercersburg, PA, with Pastors Dave and Kathy Pence officiating. There will be a visitation and viewing 2 hours prior to the service from 2:00 - 4:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Tuscarora Senior Center.
