Frances Ficks

Frances J. Ficks, age 83, of Chambersburg, PA, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born October 18, 1938, in Mercersburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Dorothy Haagen Zeger, Sr.
Mrs. Ficks was a 1956 graduate of the former Green Hill High School in Fulton County. She worked at Knouse Foods in various capacities for 36 years, retiring in 2011. She was a member of The Faith Church of God Harbor Light in Chambersburg, where she taught Sunday School, and sang in church. Mrs. Ficks enjoyed drawing, completing puzzles, and painting; however her most cherished time was spent with family at various gatherings and going on her coveted "Sister Trips".
Surviving is her husband of 64 years, Donald Ficks, whom she married on October 6, 1957, four children, Pastor William Andrew "Andy" Ficks (wife Kathy) of Chambersburg, PA, Paul E. Ficks (wife Deborah) of Fannettsburg, PA, Nancy D. Bard (Robert Wisniewski) of Chambersburg, PA, and Philip A. Ficks (Tami Orris) of Shermansdale, P; seven grandchildren, Tangela, Billy Jo, Amber, Ariane, Nathan, Larren, and Kixten; seven great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Brailen, Aslan, Ava, London, Willow, and Jenson; and ten siblings, Lois, Janet, Barbara, Wanda, Sandra, Linda, Bill, Larry, Ronnie, and Lee Jr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three siblings, Richard, Lorranine, and Patricia.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 28, 2022, at 11 AM at Harbor Light Church, 537 Hood St., Chambersburg, PA 17201, where Pastor Andy Ficks will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 27, 2022, from 6-8 PM at the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Inc., 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA and on Monday at the above church one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the above church and address.
