Beverly Ann Grigsby

Beverly Ann Grigsby, age 62, formerly of Fremont, California went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, December 25, 2021.
She was a graduate of Balboa High School in 1976 and received an associate degree from Kaplan University. Beverly was a long-time member of San Francisco Christian Center, where she and her husband Joe Grigsby served as deacons. She also was later a member of Maranatha Christian Center in San Jose, CA, where she served as a deacon and Center of Hope Community Church in Oakland, CA, where she served as a deacon and a member of the mother board.
Beverly worked as a dedicated project coordinator for numerous fortune 500 corporations in northern California. She was also an avid singer who loved to share encouragement and the good news of Jesus Christ through song. Her music can be heard on Amazon Music under the album title A Secret Place, which her brother-in-law David Grigsby helped to produce.
Beverly Grigsby was a very loving, talented, strong, and independent woman, who was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and fearless witness for the Lord. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.
Preceded in death by her parents John and Barbara Cooks. She is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 38 years, Joe Grigsby; daughters, Beverly Falcon, Rachel Height, and Mary Grigsby; grandchildren, Malachi Grigsby, Imani Grigsby, Elizabeth Height, and Naomi Height; brothers, John Cooks and Reggie Cooks; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30pm ET (viewing) and 1:00pm ET (service) on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Avenue, Cumberland, MD 21502, with Chaplain Candidate Bernard Height officiating. The viewing and funeral service will be live streamed by the Scarpelli Funeral Home for those who cannot attend in person. Burial will take place in the Davis Memorial United Methodist Cemetery.
