Age 67, of Wilmington, Illinois, formerly of Manhattan, Illinois, died on June 22, 2025 at her home surrounded by family.
Born on May 25, 1958, Beverly Jean was a daughter Kenneth and Carol (Speicher) Goody. She was born in Joliet, Illinois and was raised in New Lenox, graduating from Lincoln Way Central High school with the class of 1976. On September 9, 1981, she married Hugh in Albany, New York. Beverly started her career in the insurance industry before stepping away to raise her children full-time. After 13 years at home, she returned to work as a lunch lady at Wilmington High School.
Beverly enjoyed canning, gardening, and ceramics, and spent many summer afternoons relaxing by the pool. She also liked cooking and baking with her kids. She was strong-willed, straightforward, and cared deeply about her family.
She is survived by her husband; two children: Cliff and Carly Kleckner; two brothers: Kenny (Harriet) Goody and Steve (Kathy) Goody; several cousins and numerous nieces and nephews.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, and son, Kyle Kleckner.
The family will receive friends for a visitation at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road, Wilmington, Illinois on Monday, June 30, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services.
A private burial will take place at a later date.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Beverly's memory to his family for their distribution.
