Beverly Jean Leeper, age 95, passed away Sunday, February 2, 2025, at Pioneer Skilled Nursing Center in Marceline. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Brookfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the First Christian Church in Brookfield or the Animal Shelter of Linn County may be left at or mailed to Wright Funeral Home, P.O. Box 496, Brookfield, MO 64628. Beverly Jean, daughter of James Leroy and Ruby Connell, was born November 5, 1929, in Greensboro, North Carolina. On January 29, 1949, she married Walter S. Leeper who preceded her in death on August 12, 2015. Beverly was a devoted member of the First Christian Church in Brookfield, where she actively participated in the church choir. She had a deep love for music and found joy in sharing her gift of singing with others. She performed at Pioneer Skilled Nursing Center, McLarney Manor, and Life Care Center, bringing comfort and happiness to residents. Survivors include her children, Sandra Clarkson (Dave) of Laclede, and Walter S. Leeper Jr. (Judy) of Acworth, Georgia; grandchildren, Rebecca Smith (Sean), Rob Clarkson (Meagan), Elizabeth Manion (Smith), Jennifer Elloy (Chicka), and Jeff Leeper (Ashley); great-grandchildren, Ryan, Eleanor, Sam, Carley, Cooper, Evelyn, Hughes, Gracie, Sierra, Scarlett, and McCaleb She was preceded in death by her parent and siblings, James, Alvin, Maxine and Hazel.
