Beverly McCollum Obituary
Beverly Joan (Utterback) McCollum, age 89 of Crawfordsville, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Bickford. She was born in Wallace on December 29, 1933, to the late Charles M. and Vera Maxine (Watson) Utterback.
Beverly graduated from Waynetown High School high school in 1952. She married James Hancock in 1955 and they later divorced. Beverly then married Jerry Bruton; he preceded her in death. She retired from RR Donnelley after 40 years of service in the art department. Beverly enjoyed bowling and euchre. She was a member of the Red Hats and Donnelly Club.
Beverly is survived by her son Roger (Kim) Hancock; two grandchildren, Derek (Amy) Hancock and Rachel (Scott) Wiedenhoeft; and 1 great-granddaughter Kira Hancock.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jerry Bruton; two brothers, Ramon Leon Utterback and Mike Utterback; and her son, Rodney Hancock.

For several years Bev was a member of Home extension with myself and others of NuValdaec. Later we continued just as a group of Friends. We loved Bev and her wisdom and humor she shared with us. The club ladies and myself will miss her greatly. She was a special lady who loved game nights and visiting with us each month for so many years. ♥
