Patricia M. McDeavitt passed away on November 3, 2025 at home. She was born on September 19, 1944 in New Jersey to Mary Patricia and George Lott Jeffords. Mrs. McDeavitt was educated in New Jersey, having graduated from Mount St. Mary's Academy in Plainfield, NJ, majoring in English, and from Elizabeth Seton College in Westchester, NY on May 26, 1964, with an associate degree in Applied Science.
Pat was employed by IBM Corporation in Newark, NJ and Boca Raton, FL. She married Ed McDeavitt on August 3, 1985 and moved to Crawfordsville, IN. Ed survives. Her parents and brother, Mark Jeffords, preceded her in death. Pat is survived by her son, DeWayne (Tracy) Jeffords of Crawfordsville; two stepsons, Daniel McDeavitt of Bloomington, IN and Sean (Angela) McDeavitt of Bryan, TX. She was blessed with 6 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Also surviving is her beloved sister, Julie Jeffords of Florida; niece Tara of Holland; and nephew, Grayson of Florida.
Pat and her husband were actively involved in the restoration of buildings in the Crawfordsville area and the preservation of our animal friends. Contributions to the local animal shelter would be appreciated.
Pat's wishes were to have cremation done with no viewing or funeral services. She was a kind, generous, beautiful woman and will be missed by all who knew her. Share memories and condolences at www.SandersFuneralCare.com.
