Beverly Jane Measel of Sterling Heights passed away at her home on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at the age of 85 years.
Beverly was born on April 13, 1936 in Detroit, Michigan. She was a daughter of Walton and Bessie (nee French) Read. Beverly was a 1954 graduate of East Detroit High School. In October of 1955, she married Douglas Measel at Emmanuel Methodist Church in East Detroit. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, reading, bowling, shopping and playing cards with her sister. Beverly was gifted with amazing talents, playing piano being one of them. She loved her family and spending time with them at their cottage on School Section Lake. Beverly will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Beverly is survived by her husband, Douglas; daughters, Kimberlee (Larry) Hayden, Tammy (Rick) VanMaele and Tracy (Terrence) Cronin; grandchildren, Rachel Hayden, Steven (Jennifer) VanMaele, Timothy VanMaele, Ericka VanMaele, Brandon Cronin and Zachary Cronin; sister, Martha Lanier; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Beverly is predeceased by her siblings, Jim, Sylvia and John; and her parents.
A Memorial Visitation will take place on Saturday, December 11, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Hauss-Modetz Funeral Home, 47477 Romeo Plank, Macomb. The Memorial Service will begin at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to the Alzheimer's Association.
