Beverly Jeanne (Krause) Plymire Sunderman, 93, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt left her earthly home on June 10, 2023 to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and her loved ones who have gone before her.
Beverly was born in Evansville, Indiana on October 18, 1929 to the late William and Minnie (Grosheart) Krause. Beverly graduated from Evansville Reitz High School in 1947. She retired as Secretary to the Director of Personnel for the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation in 1991. She was a member of Bethlehem United Church of Christ for 68 years. She was a member of the Southwestern Indiana Master Gardener Association for the past 14 years and was a 40-year member of Evansville North Civitan Club. She was also an enthusiastic volunteer for American Red Cross Disaster Services.
Beverly enjoyed a variety of activities throughout her life, including time at southern Florida beaches finding shells and making them into artwork, golf, sewing and embroidery, travel, gardening and fishing as well as playing bridge and other card games. She loved ballroom dancing. Beverly was a devoted mother and was always there for her family. She was a loving and hard-working woman who had and lived by strong Christian values.
Beverly is survived by her husband of 20 years, Marvin Sunderman of Evansville. Beverly is survived by three of her children, daughters, Donna Nelson (Harold) and Cathy Burns, both of Evansville, and son, Charles "Chuck" Plymire (Rebecca) of Beaverton, Oregon and her daughter-in-law, Brenda Plymire of Evansville, IN. She is survived by her brother Jeryl "Jerry" Krause of Summerville, SC and grandchildren, Wesley Burns (Heather), Andrew Burns (Tiffany), Matthew Burns, Lindsay (Plymire) Steele (Jason), Lauren Plymire (Nicole) and Jonathan Plymire (Amy) and 11 great-grandchildren as well as many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.
Beverly was preceded in death by her first husband, Max Plymire, her son, Robert "Bob" Plymire, her parents, son-in-law, Barry Burns, granddaughter-in-law, Alivia (Wickstrom) Burns, her sister, Juanita Reynolds and brother, John Krause.
A celebration of Beverly's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at Bethlehem United Church of Christ, 6400 Oak Hill Road, Evansville, IN 47725, with Rev. Emily Slade officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, June 19, 2023 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 E. Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711 and again from 9:00 AM until service time on Tuesday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bethlehem United Church of Christ.
