Beverly Ann Sexton, 78, of Athens, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 9, 2026.
Born in Royston, she was a daughter of the late OB Sexton and Mary Louise Scarboro Sexton. Beverly graduated with honors from Madison County High School and then earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia. She retired from the Food Service Department at the University of Georgia and was an avid fan of the Georgia Bulldogs. Beverly enjoyed reading, outings with her friends and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Michael Sexton.
Survivors include her siblings, Janice Sexton Fleming (Larry), Randall Phillip Sexton (Shirley Ann) and Ronald Lee Sexton and numerous nieces and nephews.
No services are planned. The family will be at their respective homes.
Donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
