Beverly Elaine Steuer

Beverly Elaine (Wormley) Steuer, 90, of West Simsbury went to rest with her Lord and Savior on Friday February, 6, 2026, in her home surrounded by family and loved ones.

Born in Greenport, NY, May 28, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Cora (Lebo) Wormley. She graduated Cornell University in 1957 with a BS in Biochemistry and went on to have an impactful career with the General Foods Research Center in Tarrytown, NY where she helped to develop flavors and foods enjoyed for decades.

She was married for 56 years to the love of her life, James Charles Steuer. She is survived by her beloved children Tom Steuer and his wife Lynda, Sing Inthisone and his wife Sonnaly, and Leeann Steuer and her husband Sam Cullis, and her six grandchildren Stephanie, Irie, Mira, Amber, Daniel, Brian and two great-grandchildren, Grace and Harrison.

Bev is remembered by all who knew her as a beacon of God's light on earth. A woman of sharp humor, deep kindness, and generosity, who dedicated her life to Christ and her family. She and her husband were devout Christians and pillars of their communities. They are both deeply missed by loved ones and acquaintances alike.

A Memorial Service to Celebrate Bev's Life will be held Saturday, May 23, 2026, 11:00 AM at her church, New Life in Christ Fellowship Church, 550 Firetown Road, West Simsbury, CT.
