BEVERLY JEAN THOMPSON

Beverly Thompson, a beloved daughter of Dallas, Texas, graced the world with her presence on March 12, 1955. A true survivor in every sense of the word, she courageously navigated life's storms and emerged as an unwavering testament to resilience and love. Beverly's journey came to a close on February 23, 2026, in the same city where she was born, leaving a legacy woven through the fabric of family, friendship, and boundless affection.

From an early age, Beverly exhibited a nurturing spirit that would define her life. Graduating from Cushing High School in 1973, she later attended El Cen, where her jubilant personality would shine like a beacon. With an outgoing and caring demeanor, she was loved by all who knew her, particularly the children whose lives she touched with her warmth and encouragement. A cancer survivor, she embodied strength and perseverance, inspiring others with her steadfast faith in God and her unwavering support to family and friends.

Beverly was a devoted homemaker, finding joy in the simple pleasures of life. Whether sitting in her spotless house watching cartoons, engaging in spirited games of spades and dominoes, or crafting delightful meals for her family, she created a nurturing home filled with love. Her hands were skilled not just in the kitchen, but also at the wheel—driving often led her to moments of laughter and connection with loved ones.

She was a proud mother, celebrating her children, Lakesha Thompson and Shandriea Daniels, as her greatest accomplishments. Beverly cherished her role as a mother fiercely, pouring her love and guidance into her daughters, nurturing them into the remarkable individuals they are today, companion Rickey Cole. The additional fabric of her family tapestry includes five cherished grandchildren—Alonzo Pipkins, Darrieon Thompson, Markhya Thompson, Lorenzo Pipkins, and Carlitto Pipkins—and two great-grandchildren who brought immeasurable joy to her heart.

Among her siblings, Beverly shared a bond of love and support with Bessie Deckard, Leonard Russell, and Sharon Attaway. Together, they forged a connection that stood resilient through the test of time. Yet, it is with sorrow that we remember those who preceded her: her parents, Leonard and Juanita Attaway; her children, Tyrone, Terry, and Jessica Thompson; and her sister, Patricia Russell, whose absence continues to be felt in the hearts of those who loved her.

As we gather to celebrate Beverly’s extraordinary life, we invite those touched by her spirit to join us for a viewing on March 6, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas. Following this, a prayer service will commence at 7:15 PM, leading to a funeral service on March 7, 2026, at 3:00 PM at the same location. Each moment offers an opportunity to honor the radiant light that Beverly was—an embodiment of love, encouragement, and resilience in the face of challenges.

In the hearts of her loved ones and the memories she carved into the lives she touched, Beverly Jean Thompson lives on, forever a source of strength and unwavering love. Her legacy will remain cherished in the stories shared, the laughter echoed, and the love continued through generations to come.
